History of Phetchaburi Highway District
The Phetchaburi Highway District, formerly known as the "Phetchaburi Maintenance Office," was established by Department of Highways Order No. J.1.2/11/2546 dated September 9, 2003, to carry out the mission of maintaining, caring for, and preserving highways within Phetchaburi Province. The office used the Phetchaburi Highway Sub-district building as a temporary office.
In 2006, a budget was allocated for the construction of a new office building, which was completed on May 16, 2007. The building occupies an area of 2 rai, 3 ngan, and 28 square wa (located within the Phetchaburi municipal area).
In 2015, the Ministry of Transport's announcement dated February 10, 2015, and published in the Royal Gazette on February 27, 2015, designated the Phetchaburi Road Maintenance Office as the "Phetchaburi Highway District".
